Issey Miyake Fragrance
Miyake was born in Hiroshima in 1938, he was a witness and survivor of the atomic bombing of the city during the Second World War.
After studying graphic design at the University of Tokyo, Miyake has led to an innovation in pleated clothing, using a heat press to add permanent pleats.
Miyake has retired from designing in 1997, but continues to monitor all lines of business.
