Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs is an American fashion designer born in 1963. He expressed an early interest in design, he graduated from School of Art and Design in 1981 and then continued his studies at Parsons School of Design in New York.

In 1986, Jacobs presented his first collection bearing the label Marc Jacobs in collaboration with Kashiyama USA Inc., which led to Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent Award.

Jacobs joined the Perry Ellis company in 1988 and left in 1993 to provide clothing below the Marc Jacobs International company. The first collection of men of the company appeared in 1994. Jacobs joined Louis Vuitton as creative director in 1997. A secondary line, Marc by Marc Jacobs, launched since 2001.

Marc Jacobs started in 2001 to provide fragrance in collaboration with Coty.

Marc Jacobs Perfume for Women was first, followed by other series of perfumes in 2002.
